Vocalissimo: Liisi Kasenõmm

Young soprano Liisi Kasenõmm is performing in Estonian singers introducing concert series Vocalissimo. The concert will take place on November 28 at 6 pm in Tallinn Town Hall. The program consists of vocal music by Hugo Wolf, Gabriel Fauré, Richard Strauss and Estonian composer Veljo Tormis, piano accompaniment by Veit Wiesler from Germany.

Liisi Kasenõmm studied singing and music theory in Georg Ots Tallinn Music School. In 1999, she continued her studies in Sibelius Academy and 2008 graduated from the Liszt School of Music Weimar (Germany) in Prof Michail Lanskoi’s singing class. In addition, she has participated in master classes of Françoise Pollet, Brigitte Fassbaender, Mirella Fren and sang as a guest soloist in Eisenach, Nordhausen and Rudolstadt theatres in Germany. In 2008, she debuted as Leonora in Giuseppe Verdi’s opera Il trovatore. At the same year, Liisi Kasenõmm was nominated for the Annual Award of Estonian Theatre in the category of music performance for the role of Governess in Benjamin Britten’s opera The Turn of the Screw (Birgitta Festival, Tallinn, 2008).
