Performances of Erkki-Sven Tüür’s works in Germany, France and Netherlands

Olari Elts will conduct pieces by Erkki-Sven Tüür for several times in April. Stuttgart Radio Symphony Orchestra performs „Aditus”, NYYD Ensemble plays „Oxymoron” and Accordion concerto will be presented by Mika Väyrynen and Orchestre de Bretagne. Netherlands Radio Philharmonic Orchestra with Mark Elder conducting will play the orchestral work „Searching for Roots”.

April 2-7, Stuttgart Radio Symphony Orchestra under the conducting of Olari Elts gives concerts in Germany. The programme consists of Tüür’s „Aditus”, Mendelssohns Violin Concerto E minor op. 64 (soloist Vivian Hagner) and Sibelius’s Symphony No. 1. Concerts will take place on April 2 in Stuttgart Liederhalle, April 4 in Mannheim Rosengarten Mozart-Saal, April 5 in Tuttlingen Stadthalle and April 7 in Göppingen Stadthalle.

At the festival „Marathon XXI” in Rennes, Tüür’s music will be presented on April 10 in the concert of NYYD Ensemble („Oxymoron”) and April 11 in the concert of Orchestre de Bretagne (Accordion concert, soloist Mika Väyrynen). Concerts will take place in Rennes Opera House, conductor is Olari Elts.

On April 26, Netherlands Radio Philharmonic Orchestra and conductor Mark Elder will perform Tüür’s „Searching for Roots” in Amsterdami Concertgebouw. Beside Tüür’s piece, programme includes also music by Bartóki, Sibeliuse and Prokofiev.
