Guitarist Kristo Käo introduces his hew album with a concert tour

On April 9th, the guitarist Kristo Käo starts a seven-concert tour in Estonia to introduce his new solo album The Dance Album. The concert series ends with a bigger concert on April 26th in Tallinn and this is also the official releasing date of the album. The program of the concerts consists of dance music of different eras and it directs attention to guitar as an old-established dance instrument. It is rhythmic and well sounding music from European classical era, also from Spanish and South-American national-romantic school. Kristo Käo says this program suits for classical music audience as well as for people who are in dread of too academic atmosphere.

The Concerts will take place on April 9th at 7 PM in Kivi-Vigala Church, on April 10th at 4 PM in Võru Music School, on April 12th at 7 PM in the Tartu City Museum, on April 18th at 7 PM in Kuressaare Castle, on April 20th at 3 PM in Kärdla Long House, on April 24th at 7 PM in Palamuse Public House and on April 26th at 6 PM in Tallinn Old Town Music House. In Tallinn concert Riho Ridbeck, Anne Anderson, Maria Rääk, Jorma Puusaag, Ardo Västrik will be featured; some of them also participated in recording The Dance Album.

Kristo Käo is a faculty member of Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre, a chairman of Estonian Guitar Association, also organizer of the festival Fiesta de la Guitarra. He is the leader of his initiated educational program kitarrikool.eu and author of guitar textbook Guitar School – A Key to the World of Practical Guitar Playing. In addition to dense concert activity, Kristo Käo has been leading the broadcasts in Klassikaraadio for several years.
