RUTA LIPINAITYTE AND MARJE LOHUARU WILL PERFORM IN TALLINN TOWN HALL

On May 10 at 6 pm, the violinist Ruta Lipinaityte and the pianist Marje Lohuaru will perform sonatas for violin and piano by Beethoven, Tubin and Ravel in Tallinn Town Hall. The programme of the chamber concert consists of Sonata No. 2 (In Phrygian Mode) by Eduard Tubin, Sonata in A major Op. 47 (Kreutzer) by Ludwig van Beethoven and Sonata by Maurice Ravel.

Lithuanian origin violinist Ruta Lipinaityte has been studied in Lithuanian and Malmö Academies of Music, also in Paris. Now she completes her PhD studies in Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre with Alexander Fischer, working as a lecturer and an assistant of Professor Fischer in the same time. She has gained prizes in a number of international competitions and performed as a soloist with many orchestras. At present Lipinaityte participates in Kremerata Baltica youth orchestra and sextet.

Marje Lohuaru has studied piano in Tallinn State Conservatoire and chamber music in Leningrad Conservatoire. She is a professor of chamber music in Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre, a highly valued ensemble partner both among singers and instrumentalists. She is the vice rector of academy for international relations, also a relevant character in Estonian musical life, related to most important musical institutions.
