MIHKEL KÜTSON WILL BRING FORTH DON GIOVANNI BY MOZART

On May 24, Estonian conductor Mihkel Kütson will bring forth the opera Don Giovanni by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart at Schleswig-Holsteinisches Landestheater in Germany. The director of the production is Jan-Richard Kehl and designer is Stefanie Pasterkamp. Main roles are sung by Alan Cemore or Jörg Sändig (as Don Giovanni), Marek Wojciechowski (Il Commendatore), Sabina Martin (Dinna Anna), Jin Hak Mok (Don Ottavio), Cordula Berner (Donna Elvira), Peter Schulz (Leporello), Bernhard Christian Berger or Ansgar Hüning (Masetto) and Gabriela Kuhn or Marret Winger (Zerlina). The performance will be played again on May 27 and 31, also on June 6, 12 and 18.

Having won a reputable Deutsches Dirigentenpreis, Mihkel Kütson has worked in a number of significant German musical theatres. Since the beginning of current season he has been the chief conductor of Schleswig-Holsteinisches Landestheater und Sinfonieorchester. From 1999 to 2004, Mihkel Kütson was a musical director and chief conductor of Vanemuine; on August 1, he will restart at that position. Kütson’s summer plans include a concert with Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen on July 5. On July 27, he conducts Vanemuine Symphony Orchestra and Choir at Kuressaare Opera Days. The programme includes Messa di Gloria by Giacomo Puccini; the soloists are tenor Senol Talinli from Turkey and baritone Aare Saal.
