Kädy Plaas and Siim Selis performing Estonian love songs

Soprano Kädy Plaas and pianist Siim Selis will perform love songs by Estonian authors Mart Saar, Artur Kapp, Anatoli Garshnek, Ester Mägi, Eduard Tubin and Mihkel Lüdig. Concerts entitled as Love in Estonian Way will take place on November 6 at 7 pm in Haapsalu Culture House, November 7 at 6 pm in the Concert Hall of Lääne-Virumaa Library and November 26 at 7 pm in Türi Culture House.

Kädy Plaas graduated from the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre singing class of Nadia Kurem in 2007. Since 2004, she has been the soloist of Nargen Opera. She has sung in many operas and performed solo parts in numerous vocal-symphonic works. As a soloist, Kädy Plaas has performed with Estonian National Symphony Orchestra, Tallinn Chamber Orchestra and Tallinn Baroque Orchestra and collaborated with conductors such as Tõnu Kaljuste, Eri Klas, Toomas Siitan, Risto Joost etc.
Siim Selis graduated as a pianist from Estonian Academy of Music in 1996 with Valdur Roots. In 1999, he obtained his Master’s Degree as an accompanist with Helin Kapten and Vilma Mallen. He has also studied conducting in the class of Jüri Rent and Ilmar Tõnisson. Selis has collaborated with many Estonian singers and performed in Finland, Canada and New-Zealand. Since 1992, Selis has been the conductor and accompanist at the Academic Male Choir of Tallinn University of Technology. He also works as an accompanist at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre.
