World premiere of the "Sung into the wind" by Tõnu Kõrvits

On January 25, orchestral work "Sung into the wind" (2005/2006) by Tõnu Kõrvits will be premiered in Estonia Concert Hall by Nordic Symphony Orchestra and Anu Tali. The concert programme titled as "Enigma" includes also Sinfonia Concertante by W. A. Mozart (soloists Sergey and Andrey Dogadin from Russia) and "Variations of Enigma" by E. Elgar.

"Sung into the wind" for symphony orchestra is inspired by wind as the phenomenon in nature and as a metaphor in Estonian folk song. Wind as a poetic image has given rise to the birth of some other Kõrvits’ last works ("The chamber of wind" for bass flute and electric guitar, 2004; "Songs about rain and wind" for male choir and percussion, 2005).
