Urmas Sisask’s John’s day Cantata in the The Estonian Open Air Museum

On June 21 at 9 p.m, Urmas Sisask’s John’s day Cantata Op. 108 for soloists, reciter, mixed choir and folk music orchestra will be premiered in Estonian Open Air Museum. The cantata is based on folk traditions connected to summer solstice and consists of folksongs and instrumental pieces, as well as verbal parts and dance numbers. The cantata will be performed by Tallinn Technical University Chamber Choir and folk music orchestra with Peeter Perens conducting.

The cantata is dedicated to 50th anniversary of Estonian Open Air Museum. The premiere of John’s day Cantata took place on May 22, 2007, at the jubilee of Estonian Open Air Museum.
