René Eespere's composer's recital

On October 6, René Eespere's author's recital offering a number of first performances will take in Tallinn Methodist Church. Concerto for guitar and chamber orchestra and new works for chamber orchestra titled as "Interludium" and "Visionis" will be premiered. In addition, the programme includes "Februarium" for two cellos and chamber orchestra (new version of earlier chamber work for two cellos and piano from 2004) and "Tres clavi in crucem" for guitar and chamber orchestra (new version of the work for guitar and organ from 2003). From earlier work, cello concerto "Concertatus celatus" (2004) will be performed.

In Estonian music, Eespere's idiom stands out with individual combination of fragile minimalist structures and persuasive rhythmic incantations. Forthcoming concert in Tallinn Methodist Church is composer's third composer's recital. Teet Järvi (cello), Marius Järvi (cello), Eleftheria Kotzia (guitar, England/Greece) and Tallinn Chamber Orchestra conducted by Paul Mägi will participate as performers at the concert.
On October 6, also a presentation of Eespere's new collection CD from Antes Edition (2000) will be held. New record includes such composer's last years' works as Concerto No. 2 for flute and chamber orchestra (2003), cello concerto "Concertatus celatus", clarinet concerto "In dies" (2005) and "Cantus" for chamber orchestra (2003). New release is Eespere's sixth author's collection.
