World premiere of the „Prophecy” by Erkki-Sven Tüür

On October 11, world premiere of Erkki-Sven Tüür’s "Prophecy" for accordion and symphony orchestra will take place in Turku Concert Hall in Finland. The new piece will be performed by accordionist Mika Väyrynen and Turku Philharmonic Orchestra with Olari Elts conducting. The concert procramme includes also Aaron Copland’s "Music for the theatre" and Igor Stravinsky’s works "Scherzo à la russe" and "Symphony in three parts". Tüür’s work was joint commission by Turku Philharmonic Orchestra and Orchestra de Bretagne and will receive soon its Estonian premiere at the final concert of International New Music Festival NYYD ´07.

Future performances of works by Erkki-Sven Tüür:

The Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen and conductor Anu Tali will present the cycle "Action. Passion. Illusion" on October 18 and 19 at Bremen concert house The Glocke, October 20 at Amsterdam Concertgebouw, October 23 at Bietigheim-Bissingen Kronenzentrum and October 28 at Cologne Philharmony Hall.

"Lighthouse" will be performed on October 19 at Aveiro University in Portugal within the Festivais de Outono by Orquestra Filarmonia das Beiras and Pedro Carneiro as a conductor.
