Concert of music by Eduard Tubin

Concerts dedicated to the 25th anniversary of death of Estonian national classic Eduard Tubin will take place on November 26 at 7 p.m. in Tartu University Assembly Hall and November 27 at 7 p.m. in Estonia Concert Hall, Tallinn. The programme consists of Two Preludes (1927-1928), Three Preludes (1934/1935) and Seven Preludes (1976) for piano, solo songs “In the Skies” (1927/1965), “Autumn Sun” (1928) and “Rosy Apple-blossom” (1928), Sonata for Viola and Piano (1964-1965), Troubadour's Song from the 13th Century for violoncello and piano (1951), Recitativo from Concerto for Violoncello and Orchestra (1954-1955), Ballade for violin and piano (1939) and Piano Quartet.(1929-1930). Tubin’s music will be performed by Swedish ensemble Zilliacus Trio staffed by Cecilia Zilliacus (violin), Johanna Persson (viola), Kati Raitinen (cello) and Vardo Rumessen (piano), Heli Veskus (soprano, in Tallinn) and Mati Turi (tenor, in Tartu). Concerts are organized by State Concert Institute Eesti Kontsert.
