Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir sings Estonian music in Paris

On Monday, June 26, Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir conducted by artistic director and principal conductor Paul Hillier will perform Estonian choral music in Saint-Louis des Invalides, Paris. Concert is produced by Estonian Embassy in Paris.

The programme “Da pacen” includes Estonian sacred folk song arrangements by Cyrillus Kreek, choral works by Arvo Pärt, his “Magnificat” among them, and “Jusquez au printemps” (“When Spring Comes”) by Toivo Tulev written on the texts of the two chansons by Josquin des Prez. In the middle of May, the same programme was performed at the concerts in Überwasserkirche, Münster and in Dome Church, Cologne, in the frame of the festival “Scene: Estland, Lettland, Litauen in NRW”.
