Vox Clamantis’ anniversary concert with new works by Helena Tulve and Toivo Tulev

With concerts held in Tartu St. John’s Church, Harjumaa Leesi Church and Tallinn St. Nicholas’ Church, ensemble Vox Clamantis celebrates its tenth anniversary. The programme of the birthday concert also includes two Estonian premiers – „Summer Rain” for vocal ensemble by Toivo Tulev and „Arboles lloran por luvia” for soprano, counter tenor and vocal ensemble by Helena Tulve. World premiere of the both work took place in Basel St. Paul Church, Switzerland, at the festival Culturescapes held from November 14 to December 3.

Ensemble Vox Clamantis was founded ten years ago by Jaan-Eik Tulve and is devoted to Gregorian chant, early polyphony and contemporary vocal music. Soprano Arianna Savall (Spain), ensemble Hortus Musicus, percussionist Brian Melvin (USA), organist Aare-Paul Lattik and Weekend Guitar Trio will also participate in concerts held on November 8, 9 and 10 in Tartu St. John’s Church, Leesi Church in Harju County and Tallinn St. Nicholas’ Church.
