The record label BIS has released new CD “Mushroom Cantata” with works by Lepo Sumera.
The CD includes Concerto per voci e strumenti (for mixed choir and string orchestra, 1997), How Long Will Your Homeland Be in Dark (for mixed choir, 1985), Mushroom Cantata (for mixed choir, flute, piano and percussion, 1978/1983) and Island Maiden’s Song from the Sea (cantata for mixed choir, speech choir and bass drum, 1988). Performers: Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir, Tallinn Chamber Orchestra, Janika Lentsius (flute), Kadri-Ann Sumera (piano), Madis Metsamart (percussion), Tõnu Kaljuste (conductor), Guido Kangur, Raivo E. Tamm, Pille Lukin, Külli Teetamm, Ülle Kaljuste, Andero Ermel and Jan Uuspõld (actors).
