Oulu Sinfonia features Mihkel Poll

On May 19, pianist Mihkel Poll will appear with Oulu Sinfonia under the guidance of its chief conductor Anna-Maria Helsing in Finland. The program consists of Pyotr Tchaikovsky’s Piano Concerto No. 1 in B flat minor and Sergei Prokofiev’s orchestral suite from the ballet Romeo and Juliet. The concert will be held at the Madetoja Concert Hall at 7 pm in Oulu.

During the summer Mihkel Poll will perform at Vihula and Pädaste manor and within the framework of Kuressaare Chamber Music Days in Kuressaare.

  Mihkel Poll graduated from the Tallinn Music High School with Prof. Ivari Ilja. Currently he is studying at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre with Prof. Ivari Ilja and in Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London with Prof. Ronan O’Hora. He has participated in masterclasses by Paul Lewis, Angela Hewitt, Peter Donahue, Vera Gornostajeva, Pavel Nersessian, Walter Blankenheim, Erik. T. Tawastsjerna and Hui-Ying Liu-Tawastsjerna. Mihkel Poll has successfully participated in numerous competitions in Estonia and abroad. Mihkel Poll has given concerts in Estonia, Russia, Spain, France, Belgium, USA, Great Britain, Greece and Latvia.
