Release and presentation of CD 'Estonian Music Now 2011'

Newly released CD 'Estonian Music Now 2011' features Estonian music of different genres: electronic and experimental, jazz and classical contemporary music by various composers and musicians: Galina Grigorjeva, Rainer Jancis, Jörgen Kaarnamets, Tuule Kann, Jaak Sooäär, Erkki Luuk, Raul Keller, Taavo Remmel, Celia Roose, Robert Jürjendal, Arvo Urb, Lauri Sommer, Mart Soo, Taavi Kerikmäe, Andres Noormets, Taavi Tulev, Peeter Vähi, ensembles Kreatiivmootor, LokaalRaadio, UMA and Weekend Guitar Trio. The new CD is released to introduce Estonian music in international arena and the project has been initiated by the Estonian Embassy in London. The selection of music for the CD was made by the The Red Orange Arts Agency in London, a regular partner of British music magazine The Wire. The CD will be distributed internationally with The Wire magazine November 2011 issue.

The release of the CD is coincided with a concert of Estonian music at LIFEM: London International Festival of Exploratory Music. On October 31, duo Taavi Kerikmäe & Mart Soo, Taavo Remmel and Free Tallinn Trio with Anne-Liis Poll, Anto Pett and Jaak Sooäär will perform at music club Cafe OTO in London.
Also, a concert of early music ensemble Hortus Musicus will take place at LIFEM, on November 6, at 19:30 in St. Pancras Old Church.
