Erkki-Sven Tüür’s composer recital

On September 27 at 7 pm, Erkki-Sven Tüür’s composer recital will take place in Tallinn Rotermann Salt Storage. It forms a part of series A Composer in Residence for Every District in Tallinn that is Estonian Composers’ Union’s contribution to the program of European Capital of Culture Tallinn 2011.

The concert program consists of Synergie (2010, Estonian premiere) for violin and cello, Symbiosis (1996) for violin and double bass and choral works Salve Regina (2005) for male choir and early music ensemble and Psalmody (1993/2005) for mixed choir and early music ensemble.

Performers are Harry Traksmann (violin), Kaido Kelder (cello), Mati Lukk (double bass), Chamber Choir Collegium Musicale (artistic director Endrik Üksvärav) and early music consort Hortus Musicus (artistic director Andres Mustonen), conductor is Andres Mustonen. The video for the concert is created by Austran artist Margit Greinöcker.

The next composers in the series A Composer in Residence for Every District in Tallinn will be Urmas Sisask at Lasnamäe (October) and Tõnu Kõrvits at Nõmme (November).
