Concerts of Tallinn Sinfonietta in Italy


 

From July 15 to 18, chamber orchestra Tallinn Sinfonietta under the baton of Andres Mustonen will give four concerts in Italy. The program consists of music by Johann Sebastian Bach, Joseph Haydn, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Joonas Kokkonen, Ástor Piazzolla, Arvo Pärt, Gia Kancheli, Einojuhani Rautavaara, Alexander Knaifel, Valentin Silvestrov and Sofia Gubaidulina. The concerts will take place on July 15 at Ravello festival, July 16 in Rimini, July 17 at Mittelfest and July 18 at Emilia Romagna Festival.

Tallinn Sinfonietta, founded in 2008 by conductor Risto Joost consists of Estonian best young musicians. The special place in the repertoire belongs to Mozart, but works from Bach to Tüür and Corelli to Piazolla is being played as well. Their special programmes wish to show that classical music is still vivid and delightful also nowadays and gives the listener unforgettable experience. Tallinn Sinfonietta has participated at reputable Estonian festivals such as Glasperlenspiel and David Oistrakh Festival.
