Glasperlenspiel Sinfonietta performs Estonian music at the Klaipeda Music Spring Festival


On April 8 at 6 pm, Glasperlenspiel Sinfonietta under the baton of Andres Mustonen will perform at Klaipėda Music Spring (March 28–April 24) – Lithuanian classical music festival with the longest tradition. Concert in the Klaipėda Concert Hall will present Erkki-Sven Tüür’s  Illusion, Peeter Vähi’s Guitar Concerto No. 2 Antarctic Concerto (soloist Rémi Boucher) and Galina Grigorjeva’s Song on the Occasion of Czarina Yevdokia Taking the Veil. The programme is named after Peeter Vähi’s Antarctic Concerto – work that was inspired by the composer’s travel to Antarctic in 2011. Orchestra plays also music by Joseph Haydn and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. An hour before concert a pre-concert talk will be carried on.
