First performance of Galina Grigorjeva’s "Salve Regina" in the Netherlands

On January 26, concert of Estonian, Finnish and Russian music will take place in De Goede Herder kerk in the suburb of The Hague, Wassenaar. An international trio – Irina Zuboff (soprano), Allar Kaasik (cello) and Olga de Kort (organ) – will perform works by Vladimir Odoyevsky, Alexandr Glazunov and Ernest Pingoud. Estonian music is represented by Anne Ellerhein-Metsala’s Seven Improvisations on Mika Piiparinen’s Melodies for cello and organ, and Galina Grigorjeva’s Prayer for cello and organ. Grigorjeva’s Salve Regina for soprano, cello and organ will receive its world premiere.


Already this Sunday, on January 19, Grigorjeva’s music can be listened also from Cor Cantiamo in College Church in Wheaton, Illinois, where Bless the Lord, o my soul (Psalm 103) will receive its U.S. premiere. Cor Cantiamo, Northern Illinois University's ensemble in residence, will perform also works by Ēriks Ešenvalds, Palestrina and Heinrich Schütz, as well as contemporary spirituals. Choir is conducted by Eric A. Johnson.
