Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir performs in Singapore

  On December 13, Estonian Chamber Choir with Tõnu Kaljuste will perform within the festival „Voices – A Festival of Song“ in Singapure. The concert, starting at 7.30 pm will take place at Esplanade Concert Hall, which forms a part of Singapore’s premier performing arts centre Espalande Theatres on the Bay.

The program of the concert consists of „Magnificat“, „Virgencita“ and „Dopo la vittoria“ by Arvo Pärt, St. John’s Day Songs and „Curse upon Iron“ by Veljo Tormis and choral music by Johann Sebastian Bach, Johannes Brahms and Claude Debussy.

Festival „Voices – A Festival of Song“ celebrates the versatility of the human voice. Vocal groups will be brought together from various cultures (including Mongolian throat singing) onto one stage for three days.

On Decemebr 12, Tõnu Kaljuste and Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir will present a workshop on Estonian and Western choral music choral music with the help of two leading Singapore choirs. Workshop will take place at Esplanade Recital Studio.
