Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir


Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir under the direction of Heli Jürgenson takes part in festival Ré Majeure (May 18–20) in France. Choir will give a concert on May 19 at 3 pm in La Flotte Church in La Rochelle district. The program consists of Arvo Pärt’s Zwei slawische Psalmen and Nunc dimittis, Cyrillus Kreek’s Psalm 22 and Blessed Is the Man, Rudolf Tobias’s Kleine Karfreitagsmotette and Ascendit in coelum, also works by Alfred Schnittke, Max Reger and Felix Mendelssohn. The artistic director of the festival, conductor Marc Minkowski will conduct the EPCC also at the concert performances of Richard Wagner’s The Flying Dutchman and Pierre-Louis Dietsch’s opera Le vaisseau fantôme, ou Le maudit des mers in May and June:

May 21 at 6.30 pm, L'Opéra Royal, Versailles (Dietsch and Wagner)
May 23 at 7.30 pm, Maison de la Culture, Grenoble (Wagner)
May 24 at 8.30 pm, Maison de la Culture, Grenoble (Dietsch)
June 1 at 4 pm, Konzerthaus, Vienna (Dietsch and Wagner)
June 3 at 8.30 pm, Palau Musica, Barcelona (Wagner)

Choir is on the stage together with Minkowski’s orchestra Les Musiciens du Louvre Grenoble, vocal soloists are Yevgeni Nikitin, Vincent Le Texier, Ingela Brimberg, Mika Kares, Eric Cutleri, Hélène Schneidermann, Bernard Richter, Sonya Yoncheva, Russell Braun and Ugo Rabec.
