Estonian Composers’ Festival

The composer of Estonian Composers’ Festival taking place from June 4–9 in Tartu St. John’s Church is Arvo Pärt. Within the festival, workshop and film program dedicated to Pärt’s music will take place, his works are represented in all festival concerts. The main performers are Tallinn Chamber Orchestra, Curious Chamber Players (Sweden) and Cyberstudio together with Vox Clamantis. The main program in Tartu St. John’s Church brings to the audience the review of the Estonian contemporary music in its freshness and agelessness. The program includes nine premieres from composers like Helena Tulve, Andrus Kallastu, Märt-Matis Lill, Malle Maltis, Páll Ragnar Pálsson, Lauri Jõeleht, Monika Mattiesen, Mart Siimer and Galina Grigorjeva.
