Estonian Sinfonietta

Estonian Sinfonietta is an orchestra connecting creatively active musicians who have played together for years and performed in the known European concert halls like Golden Hall of Musikverein in Vienna, Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, Philharmonics of Cologne and St Petersburg, Flagey and Bozar of Brussels as well as at many festivals - Ars Musica in Belgium, Festival Internazionale Pianistico di Brescia e Bergamo, Mittelfest and Festival Emilia Romagna in Italy, Iitti Music Festival in Finland and Musikfest Kreuth am Tegernsee in Germany.

Performing together has taken the musicians on tours in Europe (Switzerland, Austria, Greece, Turkey, Malta), South America (Brazil, Argentine, Chile, Uruguay, Peru), the Middle East and also to many Estonian music festivals and concert series.

Estonian Sinfonietta’s configuration of instruments is responsive to its repertoire. Therefore the orchestra forms a flexible ensemble that is able to interpret music from the Baroque era to contemporary compositions, also to perform large symphonic pieces and take part in opera projects. This enables Estonian Sinfonietta to play a substantial part in the world’s musical heritage.

For its performances, the Estonian Sinfonietta partners up with experienced soloists and together with them create an interpretation of music with its own soundscape and expressions that appeal to the contemporary listener.
