Dorpat Trio performs chamber works by Erkki-Sven Tüür and Valter Ojakäär

On November 11 and 12, Dorpat Trio (Anna Samsonova – violin, Enno Lepnurm – cello, Irina Oja – piano) will perform in Hiiumaa. The first concert will be held on November 11 at 6 pm at Käina Hobby and Culture Centre, where Fata morgana (2002) by Erkki-Sven Tüür, Piano Trio by Valter Ojakäär (1955) and Piano Trio in B major KV502 by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart will be performed. In second concert, taking place on November 12 at 6 pm at Kärdla Music School, works by Ojakäär and Mozart will be heard alongside Piano Quartet in a minor by Gustav Mahler. The Dorpat Trio will feature viola player Arvo Haasma.


Dorpat Trio was founded in June 2012. For the first time they performed within the XVIII International Y. Mravinsky Music Festival in Narva. In November 2012, Dorpat Trio participated in the VI J. Joachim International Chamber Music competition in Weimar (Germany). The repertoire of the trio consists of works from the classics to contemporary music, including some Estonian premieres.
