Concerts of New Tallinn Trio

Piano trio New Tallinn Trio – Harry Traksmann (violin), Kaido Kelder (cello) and Marrit Gerretz-Traksmann (piano) – will give three concerts in the concert series The Treasury of Estonian Music which is dedicated to the 90th anniversary of Estonian Republic.
Concerts will take place on April 2 at 4 pm in Haapsalu Music School, April 3 at 5 pm in Estonia Concert Hall and April 4 at 7 pm in Vanemuise Concert Hall. Program consists of Heino Eller’s Lyrical Piece No. 2 (1915), Eugen Kapp’s Trio Op. 1 (1930) and Artur Lemba’s Trio No. 1 (1929).


New Tallinn Trio

New Tallinn Trio (founded in 1997) has won Estonian contest for young musicians Con Brio (1998), diploma at Kuhmo International Trio Competition in Finland (1999) and 2nd prize at 2nd Gdańsk International Johannes Brahms Chamber Music Competition in Poland (2000). They have performed in Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Finland, Sweden, Norway, Austria, Italy, Russia, Switzerland, Germany and taken part in different chamber music festivals.
The repertoire of New Tallinn Trio includes classical works for trio by Jean-Philippe Rameau, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Ludwig van Beethoven, Franz Schubert, Johannes Brahms, Maurice Ravel, Sergei Rachmaninov, Dmitri Shostakovitch. They have also contributed firmly in its activities to introducing Estonian music and commissioning new works.
