Sound Plasma festival - Ensemble for New Music Tallinn

Sound Plasma 2021 is inspired by intonation in music of Alois Hába. The 5th edition of the festival experiments with new ideas of intonation. Ensemble for New Music Tallinn has been developed into a specialized unit to execute just the kind of microtonal intrication and technical gymnastics required for microtonal music and to a larger extend for repertoire of alternative intonation and experimental contemporary music.

Founded in 2012, Ensemble for New Music Tallinn is a collective with a non-permanent membership. The ensemble strives to offer its audiences the very best of contemporary music, provide contemporary composers an opportunity to be heard, and enrich the local and international cultural scene with their meticulously chosen programmes and approach. The artistic director of the ensemble is composer and conductor Arash Yazdani.
