The program of the concert also consists of choral music by Arvo Pärt, Galina Grigorjeva, Pärt Uusberg and Sergei Rachmaninov and Tõnu Kõrvits’s organ music played by organist Ulla Krigul. The same program will be performed also on October 2 at 6 pm at Jõhvi Church. All Soul’s Day Concerts in Tallinn and Jõhvi are held in cooperation with State Concert Institute Eesti Concert.
Tõnu Kõrvits's Stabat Mater is commissioned by British choir The Sixteen and premiered in 2014 in London.
Kõrvits’s Linnuteelaev on text by Estonian poetess Doris Kareva is dedicated to chamber choir Collegium Musicale and its chief conductor Endrik Üksvärav. It is the last, 5th piece of Estonian composers cycle on the subject of Creation/Birth commissioned for the choir’s 5th birthday. The other four pieces are composed by Helena Tulve, Mirjam Tally, Jaak Sooäär and Galina Grigorjeva.
