Arvo Pärt’s Days in Tallinn churches

Within the framework of Nargenfestival, five concerts dedicated to music of Arvo Pärt will take place in Tallinn churches.

On September 2, Hilliard Ensemble will perform concert „Psalms“ in St. Charles’s (Kaarli) Church.

On September 4, the joint concert of Hilliard Ensemble, Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir and Tallinn Chamber Orchestra can be listened in St. Olaf’s (Oleviste) Church. Under the direction of Tõnu Kaljuste, Litany and Berliner Messe will be performed.

On September 7, Gregorian ensemble Vox Clamantis (director Jaan-Eik Tulve) together with Marco Ambrosini (nyckelharpa) will perform Pärt’s music in Dome Church.

On September 8, recital of one of the most prominent Estonian organist Ene Salumäe will take place in St. Nicholas’s (Niguliste) Church. Concert will be live broadcast on Klassikaraadio.

Festival will end with Arvo Pärt’s birthday concert on September 11 in St. John’s (Jaani) Church, where composer’s works will be played by Harry and Robert Traksmann (violins), Marrit Gerretz-Traksmann (piano), Leho Karin (cello) and Tallinn Chamber Orchestra under the baton of Tõnu Kaljuste.

All concerts start at 7 pm.
