Anne-Mai Salumäe

December 2, 1942, Tallinn

Anne-Mai Salumäe studied choral conducting with Kuno Areng and Raimond Lätte at Georg Ots Tallinn Music School (1960–1964) and choral conducting and music education with Heino Kaljuste at Tallinn State Conservatory (1964–1967). She has improved her skills in organ under the supervision of Hugo Lepnurm at The Institute of Theology of the Estonian Evangelical Lutheran Church. She has worked as the music teacher and organist-choral conductor at churches in Kuusalu, Kuressaare, Viljandi and Tallinn Dome Church.

Anne-Mai Salumäe has founded gospel ensemble Hingeleib, chamber choir Laudate Dominum and children’s choir Maarja (Tallinn Dome Church).

Anne-Mai Salumäe has composed choral songs, music for vocal ensembles and solo voice and songs for children. Her music is recorded on MC (1993) and CD (1997).
