On December 20, Gregorian ensemble Vox Clamantis (Estonia), Catalan soprano Arianna Savall and cello octet Amsterdam will perform together music by Arvo Pärt at Bari Cathedral, Italy at 8 pm, within the framework of the festival Le voci dell’Anima. The program includes the premiere of Pärt’s new piece Alleluia-Tropus for chorus and eight cellos. Pärt uses a text from the Christian liturgy dedicated to St. Nicholas, the text is sung in Church Slavonic. The remains of St. Nicholas are preserved in Bari. Also L’abbé Agathon (Italian premiere), „Summa”, „Most Holy Mother of God”, O-Antiphonen and „Da pacem Domine” will be performed.
