Performances of music for silent films composed by Tõnu Kõrvits in France

On November 19, music for Carl Theodor Dreyer’s silent film Jeanne d’Arc (premiere 1928) composed by Tõnu Kõrvits will be performed in  Amphithéâtre Pierre Daure in University of Caen. Perfomers are the musicians of the Orchestre Régional de Normandie under the direction of Jean Deroyer. Music was created in 2009 as a commission of the same orchestra and has been played for several times in France as well as in Hungary and in Estonia. For now, Kõrvits has completed the orchestra’s new commission – original music for Carl Theodor Dreyer’s film Vampyr (1932), that can be listened and watched on November 20 at the same hall.
