Erkki-Sven Tüür is a composer in residence at the Moravian Autumn

From the October 3 to 16, festival Moravian Autumns will take place in Brno, Czech. The composer-in-residence of this festival is Erkki-Sven Tüür, whose pieces will be performed there at several times. String Quartet No. 2 Lost Prayers is in the program of Armida Quartet on October 7 in Brno Philharmonic Hall. The world premiere of Conversio II will take place on October 15 at the same hall, performers are OK Percussion Duo with Milan Paľa (violin). Symphony No. 4 Magma will be performed by Colin Currie (percussion) and Brno Philharmonic under the baton of Olari Elts in Janáček Opera House. The concert on October 12 bears the title Three Estonian Stars and presents works by Erkki-Sven Tüür (Missa brevis, Triglosson trishagion and Kui vaikivad päevased tuuled), Arvo Pärt and Veljo Tormis by Chamber Choir Collegium Musicale (conductor Endrik Üksvärav). On the same day, talk with Erkki-Sven Tüür and screening of his opera Wallenberg will be held in the University Cinema Scala.
