23rd Rapla Church Music Festival



In the end of this week, Rapla Church Music Festival will begin in the city of Rapla and churches nearby. Festival presents great sacred works and top musicians from Estonia and abroad: Katrin Targo (soprano), Antonello Pellegrini (clarinet, Italt), Andreas Lend (cello), Haga duo (Sweden), Latvian Orthodox Church male choir Logos, Virgo Veldi (saxophone), Jaak Lutsoja (accordion), Arete Teemets (soprano), Oliver Kuusik (tenor), Atlan Karp (baritone), Ines Maidre (organ), Hedvig Hanson (vocal), Andre Maaker (guitar), String Quartet Prezioso and others. Within the festival also the 6th International Summer Academy for singers and string players will be held.

On July 8, the world premiere of Mirjam Tally’s Against All Four Winds for cello, flute and guitar will take place in Vahastu church at the concert of Haga duo (Sareidah Hildebrand (flute), Joakim Lundström (guitar)) and Andreas Lend (cello).

23rd Rapla Church Music Festival takes place from June 26 to July 10, the artistic director is the renowned opera singer Pille Lill and the festival is organized by the Pille Lill Music Fund.
