From March 7 to 13, Estonian radio Klassikaraadio offers 10 concerts to EBU members under the title of European Capital of Culture Tallinn 2011. Diverse concerts introduce Estonian best musical collectives and interpreters, also Estonian music. The program in Klassikaraadio is following:
March 7 – Concert performance of Nikolay Rimsky-Korsakov’s opera The Czar’s Bride performed by the Estonian National Opera.
March 8 – Early music consort Hortus Musicus and folk music concert by Mari Kalkun Ensemble.
March 9 – Estonian National Male Choir with music by Estonian composers Veljo Tormis, Arvo Pärt, Artur Kapp, Tarmo Lepik, Ester Mägi and Kuldar Singi, as well as Robert Schumann, Felix Mendelssohn and others.
March 10 – Erkki-Sven Tüür’s composer recital.
March 11 – Jazz concert: Kadri Voorand, Virgo Sillamaa (gutiar) and Taavo Remmel (double bass).
March 12 – Gregorian ensemble Vox Clamantis.
March 13 – Gala concert of Estonian interpreters: pianists Age Juurikas, Rein Rannap, Marko Martin and Peep Lasmmann, violinist Arvo Leibur, clarinetist Toomas Vavilov and cellist Henry-David Varema.
