At the spring concert of Academic Female Choir of Tartu University Tõnu Kõrvits’s Songs of Song of Songs will be premiered. Piece in four parts is based on text of Song of Solomon translated by Vello Salo. Song was a present for female choir’s 65th birthday from Tartu University Chamber Choir. In addition to Kõrvits’s piece, the program consists of both Estonian and foreign choral music including pieces that was performed at the international choral festival “Tallinn 2011” and brought to choir the category’s first prize and the title of the best Estonian choir.
Spring concert “You Say…” of Academic Female Choir of Tartu University will take place on May 15 at 4 pm in Assembly Hall of Tartu University. Entrance is free.
