Chamber Choir Collegium Musicale gives two concerts in Poland

On November 16 and 17, one of the Estonian top chamber choir Collegium Musicale under its founder conductor Endrik Üksvärav will perform in Warsaw and Bialystok.

On November 16, the choir will perform at the 2nd International Music Festival of Central-Eastern Europe Eufonie in Warsaw. The concert will take place at the Archcathedral Basilica. The program consists of Corpus Christi responsoria and Popule meus (Polish premiere) by Pawel Łukaszewski, Wanderer’s Evening Song by Erkki-Sven Tüür and choral pieces Virgencita, Kleine Litanei and And I Heard a Voice… by Arvo Pärt (Polish premiere). The world premiere of Popule meus which is dedicated to Colllegium Musicale, took place on November 2 at the Arvo Pärt Centre in Estonia.

The second concert will be held on November 17 at the Stanisław Moniuszko Art Centre within the Estonian Days in Białystok. Collegium Musicale will perform choral music by Estonian composers Pärt Uusberg, Arvo Pärt, Veljo Tormis and Tõnu Kõrvits. The program of the Estonian Days, held on November 17 to 18 will also present several films and documentaries, e.g. Moorland Elegies of the composer Tõnu Kõrvits (director: Marianne Kõrver), seminar and exhibitions.
