Performances of Tõnu Kõrvits’s „Kreek’s Notebook“ in USA and France

This Saturday, on November 15, Tõnu Kõrvits’s choral cycle „Kreek’s Notebook“ will be performed in Saratoga Springs, New York. Concert Songs From The Baltic Sea presents sacred and folk music inspired by the rich cultures of Estonia, Lithuania, and Finland. Performers are Skidmore Community Chorus and Vocal Chamber Ensemble directed by Katie Gardiner. Concert will take place in Helen Filene Ladd Concert Hall in Arthur Zankel Music Center.

On November 22, „Kreek’s Notebook“ will be performed in Caen, France, by Schola de l’Orne and Orchestre Régional de Basse-Normandie under the baton of Alexandra Cravero at the concert Week-End Baltique in Notre-Dame de la Gloriette.

Additionally, audience will hear also Arvo Pärt’s Fratres for violin, percussion and strings as well as Cyrillus Kreek’s Psalms. Concert is part of the festival „Les Boréales“ and it’s second part will take place on next day, November 23 at the same place with the program of Arvo Pärt’s Tabula rasa for two violins, prepared piano and strings, In spe for symphony orchestra, and music by Pēteris Vasks and Jean Sibelius.
