The concert of the conference “On the Way to Perfection: Maturity of Soul and Personhood” is held in cooperation between St. John’s School and the Arvo Pärt Centre.
The second day of the St. John’s School conference, held for the fourth time in cooperation with the Arvo Pärt Centre, will end with a concert by the ensemble Vox Clamantis. Based on the theme of the conference “On the Way to Perfection: Maturity of Soul and Personhood”, the artistic director of the ensemble Jaan-Eik Tulve has reflected on the concert program as follows:
“We are in autumn.
Autumn is the time of maturity.
The maturity of the soul is completed throughout life, and like the gifts of nature, the soul needs lifelong nourishment.
As Christ says: “I am the true vine and my Father is the gardener.””
At the concert “I Am the True Vine”, Gregorian chant and the choral works of Arvo Pärt are in the program.
