Chamber Concert Series "Young Stars of the Estonian National Opera". TO THE DISTANT BELOVED
A lot of beautiful music has been inspired by love and heartbreak. This evening, a musical story about intense love, hopes and disappointments, breath-taking happiness and sweet burn evolves in front of you. The heart of the story is a compilation of Beethoven’s song cycle “To the distant beloved” with Robert Schumann’s “A poet’s love”, Clara Schumann’s and Franz Schubert’s songs. Every song and piece will find a place in this semi-staged concert and take the listener deep into the world of feelings.
The music is performed by Karis Trass (mezzo-soprano), Mehis Tiits (tenor), Priit Volmer (bass) and Jaanika Rand-Sirp (piano).
