Tiit Kalluste is distinguished accordionist, who inspite of wide range of repertoire is mostly considered to be developer and improver of jazz and improvisational music. As a coooperation with several intrumentalists, concert tours has taken him to Baltic and Northern countries, Europe, North and South America, Asia and Russia. In addition, Kalluste is pedagogue at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre and Georg Ots Tallinn Music School.

Tiit Kalluste graduated from Georg Ots Tallinn Music School in 1981 and Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre in 1986.
In 1997–2007 Tiit Kalluste was a teacher at UT Viljandi Culture Academy. Since 1998 Kalluste teaches also at pop-jazz department of Georg Ots Tallinn Music School and since 2004 is accordion and improvisatsion pedagogue at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre. In addition, Kalluste has led many masterclasses, participated on juries work of several competitions and assembled collections of accordion music notes (Music for accordion I-III). In 2001–2007 Tiit Kalluste was musical designer of Nordic Poetry Festival.

Starting out with classical jazz at the 1982 student festival Tudengijazz, several projects furthered as a collaboration with renowned jazz musicians and also Tiit Kalluste Jump Band was founded. The band has released 2 CD-s: Pump Jump Fellows (1999) and Spécialité Française (2008).

In 1998 Tiit Kalluste with saxophonist Villu Veski founded a project NordicSounds and has been one of the composers of it. The duo has given hundreds of recitals in over 20 countries. 3 CD-s has been released and has also been used by several TV productions and movies (ETV, Parkfilm, MA.JA.DE Filmproduction, Allfilm).

In 2003 Tiit Kalluste and Villu Veski launched concert programme Tango Nuevo. In this program, New Tango is connected with jazz improvisations together with tango ballet, visual and illuminative art, and documentary footage shot by musicians themselves in famous ‘tango sections’ of Buenos Aires. Live recording at Estonia Concert Hall has been released on DVD Tango Nuevo (2003) and on CD Mi tango en Buenos Aires, featuring percussionist Daniel Pipi Piazzolla (2005).
