On April 27, new versions of works by Arvo Pärt will be premiered in Potsdam Erlöserkirche (Church of the Redeemer): “De profundis” (1980/2008) for male choir and chamber orchestra and “Da pacem Domine” (2004/2008) for mixed choir and symphony orchestra. New versions were commissioned by mixed choir Potsdamer Kantorei, mixed choir of Potsdam Erlöserkirche. Concert titled as Psalms of David is dedicated to the 60th anniversary of Israel. In addition to premieres, the programme includes psalm settings of Felix Mendelssohn and Heinrich Schütz. Concert will be performed by soprano Keren Hadar, Neues Kammerorchester Potsdam and Potsdamer Kantorei under the baton of Israeli conductor Ud Joffe.
