Works of Mirjam Tally and Erkki-Sven Tüür at „Sound of Stockholm“

Works of Mirjam Tally and Erkki-Sven Tüür can be listened at the new music festival „Sound of Stockholm“ that takes place from November 5 to 9 in Stockholm Kulturhuset and Audiorama. Tally’s Last Year's Sun Still Glitters in the Drop of Water (2000) for flute and electronics is in the program of flutist Anna Svensdotter on November 8. Swedish flutist has performed the piece often in her programs, as well as recorded it on her CD „Alpha Waves“ released in 2012. On November 9, Tüür’s Meditatio (2003, text: Anselm of Canterbury) will be performed by Arton Vocal Ensemble, Stockholm Chamber Choir and Stockholm Saxophone Quartet under the baton of Florian Benfer. Beside Tüür, concert includes works by Mauricio Kagel, Wolfgang Rihm and Lisa Streich. „Sound of Stockholm“ is a different kind of new music festival where experimental and audience-friendly go hand in hand. Festival was founded in 2010 and has every year presented also Mirjam Tally’s music.
