On November 13, 14, and 15 in Lyon, Erkki-Sven Tüür’s 6th Symphony Strata will be performed for the first time in France by the Lyon National Orchestra and Estonian conductor Anu Tali. On November 20, Tüür’s music will be played in Jena Volkshaus, Germany. Besides the works by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Camille Saint-Saëns, Erkki-Sven Tüür’s Lighthouse for string orchestra will be performed by Jena Philharmoniker under conducting of Nicholas Milton.
Strata for symphony orchestra, in one movement, is composed in 2007, commissioned by Nordic Symphony Orchestra, dedicated to Anu Tali and Nordic Symphony Orchestra.
