Prezioso

String Quartet Prezioso was established during the studies of the members at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre in 2005. The consultant of the string quartet is cellist Henry-David Varema.

The repertoire of Prezioso includes the masterpieces of world's string quartet literature as well as contemporary music and pop music transcriptions.

Prezioso has gained recognition at several competitions, both national and international: first prize at the "Classic Competition" (2006), organized by the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre, the Association of Estonian Professional Musicians' prize at the contest festival "Con Brio" (2008) and fourth prize at the international competition for string quartets "Night and Sun" in Rovaniemi, Finland (2009).

Prezioso has taken part in the master courses of Petersen Quartet, Johannes Goritzki, Lydia Mordkovitch, Lluís Claret, David Takeno, Toomas Vavilov and Paavo Järvi. Preizioso has given concerts in the framework of different festivals and concert series, including participation at the International Holland Music Sessions Summer Academy (2009). String quartet Prezioso has collaborated with pianists Age Juurikas, Hando Nahkur and Antti Siirala (Finland) and pop singers Hanna-Liina Võsa, Maarja-Liis Ilus, Nele-Liis Vaiksoo, Mikk Saar et al.
