Music threatre performance „Adam’s Passion“ by Arvo Pärt and Robert Wilson

From May 12–16, world premieres of theatre performance „Adam’s Passion“ on Arvo Pärt’s music will take place five times in Noblessner Foundry, Tallinn. Performance is designed and directed by American theatre visionary Robert Wilson. For the production, Arvo Pärt has selected three works:  Adam’s Lament, Tabula Rasa and Miserere, and has created also a new work – Sequentiae – specifically for this event. Performers are Lucinda Childs, Michael Theophanous, Enro Roosimäe, Erki Laur, Tatjana Kosmõnina, Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir, Tallinn Chamber Orchestra, soloists, actors, students of theatre and dance schools. Music director and conductor is Tõnu Kaljuste. „Adam’s Passion” celebrates the 80th birthday of Arvo Pärt and the year of music in Estonia. The producers of the spectacles are Eesti Kontsert and Change Performing Arts (Milan). The performance and its preparation is being filmed for a documentary.
