Yesterday, Mirjam Tally’s choral piece En strimma hav (A Strip of Ocean) was premiered in Ljubljana. Work written on Edith Södergran’s text was performed by Slovene chamber choir Ave under the direction of Jerica Gregorc Bukovec in Slovene Philharmonic Great Hall.

Premiere of the ensemble work Membrane Fragmentation will take place tomorrow, November 20, at the festival Sound of Stockholm in culture venue Kulturhuset, where the new piece will be presented by New European Ensemble (conductor Christian Karlsen). The concert of premieres features also composers like Đuro Živkovići, Ezequiel Menalled, Peter Lindroth and Silvia Colasanti. The third festival takes place from November 20 to 24 and presents new music of which 50% is Swedish and 50% is performed and/or written by international artists. Festival focuses on improvised, new and experimental art music.
