During the next two seasons pianist Kalle Randalu, conductor Neeme Järvi and Estonian National Symphony Orchestra will perform all five piano concertos by Ludwig van Beethoven. During the current season it is possible to hear Beethoven’s piano concertos No. 1 and 2. Besides classical piano music, Estonian audiences will be offered little known, yet wonderful pieces of ballet music, which Neeme Järvi has recorded with various orchestras.

On October 3 will be on the program Bohuslav Martinů’s suites from „Špalíček”, Ludwig van Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 2 in B flat major Op. 19 and Richard Strauss’ symphonic fragment from “Josephslegende” (“The Legend of Joseph”) Op. 63. This forms a double anniversary, as this year the music world celebrates the 150th anniversary of German composer and conductor Richard Strauss, and his ballet “The Legend of Joseph” was premièred at the Paris Opera exactly 100 years ago.
