Exhibition „The Music of Stormy Shores” in the Estonian Theatre and Music Museum

On October 22, an exhibition entitled as The Music of Stormy Shores of operas by Gustav Ernesaks will be opened in the Estonian Theatre and Music Museum. It is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Estonian composer and choral conductor Ernesaks. The exhibition presents photos, costume and stage designs and display of costumes. Also Ernesaks postcards and brochures on his operas are especially printed for the exhibition.

Ernesaks is primarily known as a choir composer and conductor but also his five operas Pühajärv, Shore of Storms, Hand in Hand, Fire Ordeal and Suitors from Mulgimaa have occupied an important part in his oeuvre. The exhibition is compiled by Kalju Haan, Simmo Priks, Alo Põldmäe, Ene Kuljus, Tiiu Tosso, Seidi Raid and the artist Kustav-Agu Püüman, designed by Katre Rohumaa and Kustav-Agu Püüman.
