On January 21 and 22, Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir under the guidance of British conductor Nicholas Jenkins will give two concerts in Tartu and Tallinn. The program consists of Arvo Pärt’s 7 Magnificat-Antiphonen and Estonian premiere of John Tavener’s Ikon of Light for mixed choir and string trio. |
The concert will also feature the string trio Prezioso: Hanna-Liis Nahkur (violin), Helena Altmanis (viola) and Andreas Lend (cello).
Concerts will be held on January 21 at 6 pm at Tartu University Assembly Hall and January 22 at 7 pm at Tallinn St. Nicholas’s Church.
Tavener’s Ikon of Light will be performed by Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir and Nicholas Jenkins also on February 12 at Glasgow Kelvingrove Art Gallery & Museum in Scotland.
